On site Facilities

Recording Studio

The recording studio has a Mackie d8b 24-track digital mixing desk and Mackie 24-track hard disc recorder. Final mixes are taken away on DAT, Mini Disc or CD (Herbert Media holds a limited supply of tapes and CD's for purchase). Logic Audio is used on an Apple computer for music production. A range of keyboards, sound modules and samplers are available. Herbert Media has guitars, amplifiers and a drum kit available for recording sessions.

Edit Suites

We have an Avid Xpress version 3.1 on a Meridian, Final Cut HT Pro 4.5 running on a CineWave RT SDI based system with DVD Studio Pro 3 and Motion.

New Media Studio

A suite of 8 computers running on both Mac and PC platforms is available for hire at a highly competitive rate. The suite includes full Adobe and Macromedia Suite software and A3 scanning and printing facilities.

IT Booths

Individual computers can also be hired per hour, either a Mac or PC can be made available in our unique custom built booths. Both computers come with a full range of multimedia software.

Off Site Equipment

Herbert Media has a range of media equipment available for off site use.

Mini DV DVCam, Betacam SP, DVCPro 50 cameras, a range of lights and grip equipment, microphones and tripods. There is also a professional standard Nikon D100 Digital Stills camera for hire with flashgun and tripod.

We have a portable edit suite to take away, a Sony Vaio Laptop running Adobe Premiere Pro & 6 with 80-gigabyte drive for storage.

We also have three sets of Technics decks available to hire to other organisations.
