David joined Arts & Heritage in December 2003 as Visitor Services Manager, becoming Head of Operations in 2009.
David is the lead officer for the Visitor Services teams across the Trust, focussing on customer care, staff recruitment, public-facing services and building presentation and maintenance. He also supports the operation of the History Centre.
Most things which don't have a direct collections, administration, marketing or learning connection seem to gravitate towards David. David is the also the Premises Licence holder for the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
David is also a member of the senior management team.
Originally from Rugby and has worked in different parts of the country in theatres and concert halls before becoming Visitor Services Manager for Leeds Museums and Galleries in 1996, prior to returning to the midlands in 2003.
