Current Projects
We involve local people in a wide range of Herbert projects. These are some of our current activities.
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum brings together an exciting range of opportunities under one roof. The Herbert's outreach team is also out in the community, listening to and working with local people. If you have an idea for a heritage or arts project we would be interested to hear from you. Although it is not always possible for us to get involved directly, we may be able to help by suggesting sources of advice and funding.

Films in Community Languages
The Herbert has lots of exciting displays and events that can be enjoyed by anybody, even if they are not confident with their English language skills. However, people may not realise this unless they can get some initial information about the Herbert in their own language. A film is an accessible way to explain what we can offer to new visitors.
- Adult Learning Resources Members of the Herbert's Inclusion team have been working in partnership with Coventry's Adult Education Service to create new resources for adult learners.
Braving the Elements
Braving the Elements was a film and collections project with Norton House, a local day service for homeless people.
Exhibitions to Borrow
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum has three community history exhibitions available for local organisations to borrow. The portable displays explore the experiences of people from various minority ethnic communities.
Queering Coventry
The Queering Coventry project seeks to record the memories of local lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people and to produce a film based on their experiences.
