Volunteers make a huge difference to the work we are able to carry out. They take on a wide range of jobs and activities in many different departments of the Herbert. New roles are being developed all the time. Opportunities for volunteers are advertised here and you can download more details from the resources documents.
Every month we hold a session for prospective volunteers at the museum. The next session is on Tuesday 14 February from 2 till 4 o' clock.
The purpose will be to give some background on volunteering at The Herbert, with a brief tour and an overview of roles available. There will be a chance for you to talk one to one with the volunteer coordinator.
Current roles include opportunities as live guides and welcome hosts in the George Shaw exhibition. Find out more in the resource documents or come on the 14th February to find out more. Your application to volunteer goes all the more quickly if you fill out and email us your application before the event.
Please email us at volunteers@theherbert.org if you would like to attend.
If there’s something specific you are interested in but no current opportunity is listed, please download the application form and send it to volunteers@theherbert.org to register an interest.
Alternatively ring 024 7683 4880 during the week.
