Recording Studio
Life as a recording studio engineer for Herbert Media is extremely varied, because in addition to working with bands, soloists, rappers and dance music artists we also record voice-overs, choirs, talking books and relaxation tapes.
Our plush modern up to date studio is situated in the heart of Coventry City Centre and our corporate client list includes the NHS, BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, Coventry City Council, City College Coventry and Coventry Translation Service.
The recording studio is kitted out with a fantastic sounding Yamaha 02R96 digital mixing desk with V2 software. All multi-track recording is done using Cubase 5, the cutting edge in (DAWs) digital audio workstations, running on a custom built studio PC.
Final mixes can be taken away on Mini-Dic, USB memory key, or CD (Herbert Media holds a limited supply of CDs for purchase).
The studio has a range of keyboards, samplers, sound modules including Korgs' Triton Rack, Trinity - Master Keyboard, Roland JV1080 - 64 Voice Synthesizer Module and EMU Planet Earth. Even though we are a digital studio we have some very nice outboard gear; Avalon 747, Avalon 737, and Lexion reverbs and a TC-Finalizer.
Herbert Media's live room includes a Marshal guitar amplifier and a bass amplifier. The studio has a large range of microphones, including a couple of Neumann u87 microphones, probably the world's best-known large diaphragm studio microphone. In addition to this we also have a drum kit available for recording sessions.
Concessionary charges are available for individual members of the public who are in full time education or in receipt of benefits.
