"I just wanted to let you know what a positive time we had when attending the Family Friendly Award on behalf of everyone at the Herbert. 

Everyone was so positive about us and we had glowing comments from not only the families who had helped us win, but also from everyone at Kids in Museums who had shortlisted our application. 

The families were really impressed with the whole offer from start to finish, commenting on everything from the building, Reception, the Shop, friendliness of staff, the family guide and literature, gallery layout and content, hands-on interactives, trails, gallery interpretation, family activities, temporary exhibitions and Herbot… to name just a few!They really welcomed the fact that families had been so considered but, at the same time, still retained the integrity of the collection and what a museum and gallery is about.

One particular family had been to hundreds of museums but said that ours' really was one of the best (we really didn't pay her to say it!?!)!"
