The Coventry Open 2010 saw over 560 artists from across the West Midlands and Warwickshire submit work in any medium to be considered for the exhibition which ran from 2 April until 13 June 2010.
Around 70 pieces were chosen for display, with guest judges awarding the winning prize of £1000 to an original installation by Marinos Thoma called Somewhere - Anywhere - Nowhere.
Visitors to the exhibition were asked to choose their favourite piece on display and textile artist Michala Gyetvai received the most votes by a wide margin. Her piece, Abbey Fields, features embroidery on a blanket.
Michala's prize is a solo exhibition at the Herbert in autumn 2011.
