Many adult literacy learners have little experience of visiting museums and galleries. Some of them may have negative perceptions relating to issues such as entrance fees, accessibility or provision for children. These pre-visit activities can promote positive attitudes before the group visit to the museum, and familiarise learners with what they will see at the Herbert.
