The Street Art exhibition brings together a collection of works from the V&A collections, including pieces by Banksy. Please read below for details of the schools programme put together by the Herbert learning team to support the exhibition and Primary and Secondary level learning.

Facilitated Session details

Suitable for: KS2 (years 5 and 6) and KS3
Timing: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Cost:  £70 per session
            £60 for Coventry local authority schools

During the Street Art facilitated session pupils will:

• Explore the exhibition using support material provided by the Herbert learning team.
• Take part in a discussion and debate about issues surrounding Street Art (What is Street Art? Is it art or graffiti? Is it legal? etc)
• Discover the techniques and planning involved in creating Street Art by getting hands on with the tools and materials used by Street Artists for creating different effects and looking through artists' sketchbooks and plans for their designs and artwork.
• Create their own piece of Street Art to take away from them, with practical guidance and all materials provided.
