30 Marc wakes me up with a smile, get him off to nursery, walk to work, everything is a blur until…
30 Log on, head for the kitchen while the PC cranks itself into gear and load up on caffeine. Clarity at last. Check my email, delete any old email before my inbox explodes from overloading.
45 Log into iGoogle, Twitter and Facebook simultaneously via Firefox. Check out a couple of links on Twitter from the new media/gallery people I follow. Update my status. Heaphones on, listening to Noah and the Whale at the moment…laced with a bit of Lilly Allen and a Snow Patrol chaser.
00 Start work on the construction of the virtual exhibition of More Than Two Tones using Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator. I am a bit rusty in Dreamweave but by lunchtime I have the basic website compiled.
30 Uploading video to Vimeo, adding descriptions, tags and titles. I have nine videos to load one at a time, so I leave this running in the background while I carry on designing the web pages for the More Than 2 Tones website.
00 Richard helps me lift the best quotes from each of the interviews to feature on the site. My favourite is "chavs are the new punks" by Tom Clarke from The Enemy, but it is also interesting to see Pete Waterman talking at length about Coventry's music scene.
00 Lunch from the Deli and discussions about the latest phones with Daz, films with Simon and jokes with Den. Verdict is still out on phones but HTC Desire is a major contender. Stranger Than Fiction and The Hurt Locker are my film recommendations.
00 Researching contemporary artists work for The Mead "Destination" exhibition and "From Here to There" to generate ideas for a geo cache linking the Herbert and Mead galleries. Geocaching is basically using GPS devices (a digital compass to put it simply) to find locations where someone has placed a box, basically a treasure hunt but linked to a website so you can leave reviews and make people aware of the boxes (caches) you have found.
30 Log off and head for the nursery to pick up Marc, ready to explore the land of Lego!
