Time, combined with their enthusiasm for the Herbert, can make a real difference to what we do and really add to visitors' experience here. 

We are always need volunteers front of house, welcoming visitors and working as live guides explaining what visitors see.  As we are open seven days a week they can volunteer at a time to suit them.  We aim to make our volunteer body more reflective of the city as a whole. Whilst many are students or even still at school, all generations are represented. Where else can you see people who worked all their working lives producing cars showing visitors round exhibitions of modern art? 

The Get Involved section of the Herbert website always has a list of current volunteer opportunities. They can download our volunteer application form, or get one from the desk at reception. We run regular volunteer introduction sessions. These brief people about the Herbert and where volunteers fit in.  The next is on Tuesday 14 February from 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
