Over the last few months the Herbert has been working closely with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Warwick Arts Centre, Belgrade Theatre, Coventry Transport Museum and the Royal Shakespeare Company to help develop a better understanding of audience development and cultural attendance across the region.
Together we are collating information on arts attendance in order to effectively map patterns of attendance across the city and county to enable all of our organisations to deliver better more effective cultural engagement across Coventry and Warwickshire.
This work will attempt to establish areas of high and low cultural attendance, map social inclusion and learning engagement and start a deeper level of collaborative cultural delivery based on the findings.
We are expecting the first results of this mapping work, delivered in partnership with external consultants Indigo, in February 2012 and look forward to sharing our joint progress.
