Chris Kirby explores what we know about the remarkable Pharaoh Akhenaten
This talk will launch a ten day display of the significant portrait of the Pharaoh Akhenaten on loan from the British Museum.
Chris Kirby, Head of Collections and Programmes at the Herbert, will explore what we know about the remarkable Pharaoh Akhenaten and the radical political and religious changes that he oversaw in Egypt in the 14th century BC.
This event is to signpost a major exhibition on ancient Egypt at the Herbert from February to June 2011.
