About New Coventry Cathedral

After the old cathedral was bombed in World War 2, they decided to build a new one.

It is made of the same sandstone as the old cathedral. The architect who designed it was called Basil Spence. They started to build it in 1946 and finished it in 1962.

It was named after St Michael - just like the old one was.
