The Herbert Café Food Policy

Dear Customer,

The Herbert Café is run by ACACIA CATERING LTD.

We support LOCAL, SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL FOOD PRODUCTION AND TRADE.

We firstly support local and British trade where possible
We buy Fair Trade when we have to incur food air miles anyway
Our coffee is supplied by Herbert & Ward. One of the only British Roasters still left
in the country. They are a small British, family run business. They have been buying
Fair Trade coffee for years
Our food is produced on site and made fresh daily from ingredients delivered in the morning, from local suppliers. We do not serve frozen foods and have no preservatives
and additives in any of our dishes
Our biscuits are baked on site and we try and sell healthy snacks as well as popular crisps

From time to time we have Sunday lunches with live music. If you’re interested in attending one of these, please register your name and contact details at the counter and we will notify you of these events.
