The Mandela27 installation is a cultural exchange between the European Union and South Africa. 

It examines the cultural changes that occurred in Europe and South Africa through the lens of Nelson Mandela’s struggle against apartheid and his time spent in Robben Island Prison. Centred around a physical installation based on Mandela’s cell, the project uses digital technology and interactive materials to bring culture and history to new audiences.
