Summer Holidays Week 3: Myth Makers

10.30am – 3.30pm

With a different craft activity every day we have something for everyone this summer!

Monday 14 August: Daring Dragons
Do you dare to make a dragon as fearsome as the Vikings believed them to be? Construct your own daring dragon to fly around the museum with you.

Tuesday 15 August: Odin’s Spear
Make your own spear that will give you the power of Odin, the ruler of the Viking gods.

Wednesday 16 August: Light Vs Dark
Make a glow in the dark decorative jar inspired by two Viking gods, Hodor, the god of darkness, and his brother Baldr, the god of light.

Thursday 17 August: Thor’s Hammer
Mjolnir was the hammer of one of the most famous Viking gods, Thor. Build your own and see if will bestow upon you the power to control the thunder and lightning.

Friday 18 August: Cloud Spinning
Channel the powers of Frigg and master the art of creating clouds with this fluffy and sparkly activity.

Saturday 19 August: Kingdom Creations
Construct your own mythological world as you recreate Asgard in a shoe box. Create rainbow bridges, reflecting pools and starry skies – this activity is sure to inspire imaginations.
