One of the best-known prizes for visual arts in the world comes to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry.
The exhibition aims to promote public debate around new developments in British art.
We are welcoming school groups to visit the Turner Prize on a self-led basis, but tickets do need to be booked in advance. Please note that groups will not be admitted into the exhibition if they are not booked in advance, due to the high demand for this exhibition.
Visiting the Turner Prize is free of charge, or you can enhance your visit with a gallery highlights talk and tour for KS3, 4 & 5, see below for further details.
Gallery Highlights for Schools: The Turner Prize
KS3, 4 & 5
In this session your students will see the very latest cutting-edge artworks in the 2021 Turner Prize show. Included will be a tour of all five of this year’s nominated exhibits, with an additional opportunity to explore and discuss contemporary art in context with a Herbert learning officer, encouraging them to debate what contemporary art represents, share their views and gain a stronger understanding of how to articulate what they have experienced through the language of art.
Cost: £2.50 per student, with a minimum charge of £30 for small groups (12 or less), and a minimum charge of £60 for groups of more than 12 students.
To book your group into the Turner Prize, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 02476237521.
