On Saturday 11th December students and staff from the Dept. of Classics and Ancient History at Warwick will be holding an event on Ancient Feasts at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry.

Come along and you will:
- Learn about food and feasting in ancient times
- Do some Roman cooking and taste some Roman food as part of our Roman cookery masterclass with Sally Grainger and Christopher Grocock, Roman food historians, experimental archaeologists and experts in Roman food and drink*
- View our giant Feast! inspired mosaic and make some small mosaics of your own
- Learn about the ancient Greek symposium or drinking party
- Get up close to some real ancient Greek and Roman artefacts including weapons, pots and coins
- Hear some ancient music that would have accompanied ancient feasts
*The Roman cookery workshop will end at 3pm
