It was a very good experience for me. It is a lovely space you have. Everybody I met at The Herbert was very helpful, kind and accomodating.
I liked the fact that the first week of my exhibition was during half-term. I did not realise kids liked my work so much, which is good and inspiring, afterall art is meant to be fun. So it was good to reach out to new audiences.
There aren’t that many places to showcase/hire out a space in the local area so you could use this to your advantage. Overall the space and gallery/museum are amazing.
Sometimes you just need an opportunity as an artist - which you are providing.
I am very grateful for the experience and have loved working with you all. Once again thank you for the opportunity.

The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for independent artists and art groups to exhibit their work in our gallery spaces. We’re offering affordable exhibition spaces to support local creatives and highlight the quality of art being produced in Coventry.
You have the option to hire one, or both, of our dedicated exhibition spaces for a minimum of two weeks.
*Please note that the two galleries will remain as separate spaces*

Application Deadlines:
The third application deadline for proposals is midnight on Sunday 31st May, for booking periods from 27 September to 5 April 2027.
This is for bookings between the following dates:
