Gallery & Museum

The opening times for the Gallery & Museum (including bank holidays) are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm

(Closed: 24, 25 & 26 December and 1 January)


Please Note: Due to maintenance work, Coventry Archives is temporarily closed until further notice and cannot be accessed during your visit. We apologise for the inconvience.

The opening times for Coventry Archives (not including bank holidays) are:

Wednesday – Friday: 10.30am – 3.30pm

Alternate Saturdays: 10.30am – 3.30pm (Reading Room only) 

29 January, 12 & 26 February, 12 & 26 March, 9 & 23 April, 7 & 21 May, 4 & 18 June, 2, 16 & 30 July, 

13 & 27 August, 10 & 24 September, 8 & 22 October, 5 & 19 November, 3 & 17 December. 

Holiday Notice: 
The Coventry Archives will be closed 15 - 20 April & 2 - 4 June.


Alfred's Café

The opening times for Alfred's Café are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm (last orders 3.30pm)

Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm (last orders 3.30pm)


Herbert Shop

The opening times for the Herbert shop are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm

Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm


Tourist Information Centre
(no longer based at the Herbert)

Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm

Saturday: 10am – 5.30pm

Sunday: 11am – 4pm
