Located in the heart of Coventry city centre, next to the historic Cathedral, the Herbert is the perfect place to learn more about the history of Coventry and immerse yourself in some art and culture.
Please note from Tuesday 1 April 2025, we will be introducing a minimal admission fee.
This is to support the venue’s sustainability and ensure we continue to provide the world-class collections and exhibitions that our visitors value.
Our gift shop and Coventry Archives will remain free to enter.

Art Gallery & Museum:
Our new main entrance is located on Bayley Lane.
Monday: CLOSED (Open for Bank Holiday Mondays only)
Tuesday to Saturday: 10am - 4pm
Sunday: 12pm - 4pm

Appointments are required for both the Research Room and the Reading Room.
