ARTIST ROOMS Presents Anselm Kiefer
One of Germany’s most significant post-war artists, Kiefer’s work explores themes of national identity and collective memory.
Drawing from ARTIST ROOMS, a collection of over 1,600 works of modern and contemporary art jointly owned by the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate, this exhibition features key works spanning the past 40 years of Anselm Kiefer’s career.
Anselm Kiefer’s work is characterised by an unflinching willingness to confront taboo and controversial issues from recent history, often addressing the legacy of Germany after the Second World War. This is a fantastic opportunity to see this collection of works shown for the first time in Coventry.
