Bombed - A Trilogy: Armistice Day Livestream
Join Saranjit Birdi and Barbara Lubich on Armistice Day for a livestreamed discussion of Bombed: A Trilogy
Open at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum from 11 - 21 November, Saranjit Birdi's Bombed: A Trilogy is an immersive, combined arts installation reflecting on the World War II bombings of Coventry, Dresden and Birmingham, and their relationship with current events.
To coincide with Armistice Day on Friday 11 November, we will be hosting a livestreamed discussion between artist Saranjit Birdi here in Coventry, and Barbara Lubich of Zentralwerk Kultur und Wohngenossenschaft eG in Dresden. The discussion will explore some of the themes and origins of the exhibition, including Saranjit's research at Zentralwerk in Dresden.

She is co-founder of Zentralwerk Kultur und Wohngenossenschaft eG and lives in Dresden. In her works she explores topics like memory, community spirit and movement.
Zentralwerk is a unique artist-run space where ideas of affordable housing and cultural work come together with experimental, forward-thinking, innovative and participatory artistic production. Since 2016, Zentralwerk has been creating apartments, studios and opportunities for joint cultural production in a former industrial district in a building complex of 7000 square meters. In addition to over a hundred local participants, the project also involves cooperation partners and visitors from the urban environment, as well as from Germany and abroad.
