Convened by Shaheen Merali, 3rd year PhD Candidate, Coventry University, funded by M4C.

The Assembly is a programme of three films, screened with the aim to establish, from the films and documentaries, the recordings of the histories of exclusion, and the formation of modern civic consciousness in the contemporary.

The works have been selected for their insights into race, gender, art, and the archive, as a contemporary form of resistance; one that engages the collective grammar of culture across history and time.
