New Book Uncovers Memories of Coventry

A fascinating new book has been created by the Herbert, exploring the memories of residents of Coundon Care Centre.

Coventry at Work: A collection of memories was created by the Herbert along with pupils from Coundon Court School and residents of Coundon Care Centre with help from Helen Bate of Pictures to Share.

The memories included have been taken from conversations between the pupils and residents, and have been brought together with stunning archive images and oral history from Culture Coventry's extensive collection.

The aim was to produce a book which could be appreciated by everyone, but particularly by older people who have difficulties with concentration or memory.

The book is on sale in the Herbert Shop, priced at just £9.99, and would make a wonderful present for anyone who has ever lived in Coventry.
