£200 for 2 hours, for up to 20 children, with optional catering and party bags available as additional extra costs.

FOR AGES 5-11 BUT ALL ARE WELCOME
Give your child the gift of creativity with our Arty parties, led by our Learning and Engagement Team. Take inspiration from our art collections and join in with a 90-minute art workshop, choosing from your choice of printing activities or clay creations.
Choose which workshop you would like to include as part of your Arty Party:
Printing and Patterns – During this workshop, children will practice pattern making techniques through sketching activities, taking inspiration from the collections on display in the museum. Guided by our expert team, all party participants will then learn printing techniques using polyfoam tiles and experiment with different colour combinations using printing ink, ready to create artwork to take home with them.
Clay Creations – Children will first learn some basic clay techniques, including making a pinch pot and a coil pot. They will then practice scoring and smoothing skills, ready for making a final piece of their choice that encourages their own creative flare and brings together the techniques they have learnt on the day. All creations can be taken home on the day. Clay used is air-drying and will simply require being left on a windowsill to dry for 24 hours.
We will provide all materials for the activities, along with basic decorations (bunting and table covers for the party food room). Families are welcome to bring their own additional decorations but are responsible for adding these and removing these at the end of the party.
Catering & Party Bags:
Party food catering and party bags can be added on as additional extras. See costs below:
Party food boxes - £4.95 per child, (birthday cake not included).
Party bags - £3, £5 or £8 per child depending on content of bags (pictured below, left to right)
Party Timetable:
10:00am – 10:30am – party family arrive and set up any personal decorations and food (if self-catering).
10:30am – 10:45am - party participants arrive at Bayley Lane entrance, coats, bags, presents loaded onto coat racks.
10:45am – 12:15pm – Facilitated art workshop.
12:15pm – 12:45pm – party food, cake and happy birthday song
12:45pm – party participants depart. Family has until 1:00pm to clear space of presents, personal decorations and food (if self-catering).
