Last weekend we ran a textiles workshop on Saturday with artist Kate Morris. Families worked together to create a collaborative piece, using silk painting techniques and embellishment.

The workshop was free and linked to the textiles on display in the current Crafts of the Punjab exhibition.  The finished piece will be on display  until the exhibition closes on 21 January.

Families described what they enjoyed about the activity and the museum:

“Activity for children helps them to be enthusiastic about going to galleries/museums”.
“It brings us together and makes my girls happy”.
“Brilliant day, lots to see and do. It’s social and interactive.”
"I think you have a great role in the city. A great place to build family relationships.”
