Outreach Sessions

Coventry schools can choose from two outreach sessions, delivered in your classroom: Toytime (KS1) and Blitz Discovery (KS2). Both sessions are designed and delivered by our experienced Learning Officers and include hands-on museum resources. One session is designed for a maximum class size of 33 pupils. Outreach sessions are available during the COVID-19 pandemic, and additional measures have been put in place to provide a Covid-19 secure experience.

One session costs £120

Two sessions costs £180

Three sessions costs £270

The following sessions are available:

Blitz Discovery

Alternatively, you may wish to sign up to our virtual schools membership scheme where you can access multiple virtual workshops, supporting resource kits, CPD for teachers and a digital assembly. For more information please visit:

Outreach Sessions for Secondary Schools

Our Learning Team can visit your school to deliver a Creative Careers talk and presentation, to give students in KS3, 4 & 5 an overview and insight to the various roles within museum and gallery settings. Students will learn about career pathways into the arts sector and hear real life experiences from the Learning Officer delivering the presentation. We encourage questions and will be honest with our answers as your students enquire about the highs and lows of working in the creative industry.

Cost: £50 for a 30 minute presentation with time for questions. This presentation can be delivered to a whole year group in an assembly style setting, or for individual classes.

We are currently offering a virtual alternative to our onsite school assembly. This is available to book through our brand new virtual schools scheme. You can pay £20 to access the content, which can be used across your whole school by streaming a pre-recorded assembly direct to your individual classrooms, or join as a member and it will be included in your virtual package. For more information please visit

The assembly, aimed at KS1&2, is a great opportunity for your teachers to see what we do and how we can meet your learning aims and outcomes.  Included in the assembly is a brief introduction to all of our sites and then a focus on celebrating Coventry Firsts: pioneers, unsung heroes and fascinating facts. Delivered using a PowerPoint presentation with images, sounds and video clips.
