Designed for all

The project is shaped by the participants who interact with it. In each location, visitors like you, are invited to contribute to the project. Your contributions will help the project mission to build a permanent archive of ideas and thoughts about how the future is envisaged, dreamed of and hoped for. What has led us to where we are and what do our communities and society hope will happen next?

Twenty Years was first exhibited at Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth in 2019. The installation was presented at Southampton City Art Gallery and The Old Fire Station, Oxford in 2021 and in 2022 the project is being exhibited at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Coventry and the Museum in the Park, Stroud.

Bennett & McDermott are grateful to Arts Council England and the National Lottery for funding this tour of Twenty Years.

The focus of Bennett and McDermott’s collaborative art practice is to produce contemporary art that is accessible, engaging, and promotes the values of generosity, community & creativity. Bennett & McDermott are based in Stroud, Gloucestershire where they live with their two young daughters.
