Alcohol Ink Workshop with Emma Gluyas

Experiment using alcohol inks to create abstract patterns and flower shapes, mount a finished piece on the day ready to frame at home.

In this morning workshop you will learn how to paint with alcohol inks using an alcohol medium to push and manipulate the ink. Alcohol inks are a lot of fun and you will create vivid colourful abstract flower patterns with stunning colour combinations.

Portrait Sculpture with Tanya Kozin RBSA

This day workshop offers an opportunity to create a scaled copy of a sculptural masterpiece from The Herbert collection. The sculpture in focus will be the bust of Rabindranath Tagore by Jacob Epstein.
 
Aim is to make a scaled copy of Rabindranath Tagore bust; to learn the process of Portrait sculpture and to explore sculptor’s style.
Air drying clay and base for sculpture will be provided.

Felting the Masters with Jacqui Smithson

Have you ever seen yourself as a budding Van Gogh, Monet or perhaps Barbara Hepworth? During this introductory workshop Jacqui will help you to recreate your own take on Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Monet’s Lilies or perhaps an abstract style, Barbara Hepworth. All created with fibres and threads with a definite twist in the tail.  

All materials for this class will be included. Please bring a large towel to cover your working area and some rubber gloves.
