Home Educators Day

10.00am – 4.00pm

Age 5+ | £10 per child

3-4 years | £6 per child

0-2’s | FREE

One free accompanying adult per paying child. Additional adults £3 each. All children must be accompanied at all times.

A chance for home educated children to visit the Herbert and take part in a selection of workshops. Sessions will be suitable for family groups with children of varying ages to attend. The day includes a self-led museum trail, space to eat a packed lunch and two workshops per child. Workshops must be chosen in advance and spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Timetable for the day:

Arrival 10am

Trails available from reception to be collected by families throughout the day. Age guide 3+.

10.15am – 11.15am – Patterns and Prints. Age guide 5-12.

10.15am – 11.15am – Coventry at War. Age guide 7-14. 

10.30am – 11.00am – Sensory Stories and Rhymes: The Train Ride. Age guide 0-5.

11.30am – 12.00pm – Natural History Store Tour. Age guide 5-14.

12.00pm – 1.00pm – LUNCH BREAK

1.00pm – 1.45pm – Victorian Toys and Games. Age guide 3-7.

1.00pm – 2.00pm – Sculpture. Age guide 5-12.

1.00pm – 2.00pm – Coventry at War. Age guide 7-14.

2.15pm – 2.45pm – Natural History Store Tour. Age guide 5-14.

4.00pm – Museum closes
