May Half Term - Playful Process Art

Saturday 25 May – Friday 31 May (excluding Sundays)

10.30am – 3.30pm

Join us this half term to experiment all week with the wonders of making through process art. Process art is about creating an opportunity for children to discover the joys of making and having freedom to explore and experiment with the materials provided for them. We will be getting hands on as we create tape resist splatter paintings, tin foil line relief pictures and tissue paper transfer scenes. With a variety of activities throughout the week you can be sure to keep the kids entertained.

Drop in | £2.50, under 2’s are free.

Designed for age 3+, but all are welcome.

Daily activities:

Tape Resist Splatter Paintings
Saturday 25, Monday 27, Tuesday 28

Create geometric patterns with masking tape, a layer of paint and extra splatter and glitter to make a multi layered image.

Tissue Paper Transfer Scenes

Wednesday 29, Thursday 30

Play around with different coloured tissue paper and water to transfer colours onto card, cutting them into different shapes to build up your own unique scene.

Tin Foil Line Relief Pictures

Friday 31 May

This multimedia approach to art has an amazing visual effect. Glue wool to cardboard to build up a 3D relief, cover with tin foil and add colour to the top layer to make your finished piece really stand out.
