£11.55 per child | Click here to book in advance

Aimed at ages 8 -16

Learn the craft behind a favourite Indian snack in our Samosa-making masterclass for children. Inspired by Sofia Karim's handmade samosa packets on display in our Divided Selves exhibition, this two-hour workshop is a great opportunity to learn new skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Discover ancient Punjabi techniques as we explore the art of spicing, folding and filling this iconic food, golden-brown and crispy on the outside and soft and spicy on the inside.

After preparing their samosas, children will be taken on a short tour of Divided Selves to see Sofia Karim's customised samosa packets on display. The cultural learning will continue with a chance to make your own packets from newspaper print, a material used to serve street food across India.

All participants will also receive free resources to continue the fun and learning at home, with instructions on how to transport and bake or fry your samosas.
