The Mee Club Workshop 4: Being Human

WORKSHOP LEADER: KATE WALTON

Join the Mee Club as they guide you through storytelling, helping you to find your unique style and refine your stories.

The Mee Club workshops are designed to give you confidence and skills to tell your tale. Each one is different so come to one or all!

Life can offer a wealth of wisdom from our unique experiences that, although sometimes challenging, can be a wonderful key to growth.

Working within our personal experience, we will seek to unlock the hidden wisdom behind the stories we tell ourselves
and explore ‘What it means to be human’ through a playful journey of self expression.

Kate Walton is a poet and true life storyteller shortlisted by BASE as Outstanding Newcomer to Storytelling in 2013.
As the writer and performer of her own one-woman transformational show ‘I Am Blackbird,’ Kate is passionate about helping others find their story and sharing their authentic voice.

Get in contact with Kate, you can e-mail her on k8walton@wordpress.com.

Beginners are welcome.

The Mee Club in residence at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum is funded by Arts Council England.

About The Mee Club
The world is waking up to the fun of telling and hearing true life stories! The idea is simple, people stand up on stage in front of a live audience and tell a story about something that happened to them.

Real people, not actors or comedians, telling seven minute stories to amuse, astound or enlighten. Come along to listen or to take part.
