Courtaulds in Coventry
Coinciding with the display of artworks by Edgar Degas on loan from The Courtauld Gallery, the History Centre is showing a selection of items from the Herbert’s collection relating to the Courtaulds company and their links with Coventry.
Courtaulds opened their Coventry factory in 1905
next to the Coventry Canal at Foleshill. It became one of the city’s most
successful companies, opening a further site at Little Heath and
employing thousands of people.
This display features sample products and
promotional material produced by Courtaulds over the last 100 years.
