A Hidden View of Belgrade in the Heart of Coventry

This is a rare opportunity to peep behind the closed doors of the Herbert’s painting store with the museum’s lead curator and to view the painting of Belgrade by the prominent, world acclaimed Serbian artist, Milorad- Bata Mihajlovic (1923-2011).

The painting was a gift from Belgrade city to Coventry in 1953. The fruitful socio-economic relationship between Coventry and Belgrade, led to the twinning of the two cities in 1957.
