A member of our learning team will guide participants in how to make a flamboyant costume art piece using an array of vibrant materials including crystals, jewellery, feathers and fabric paint.

Designed for age 8 -16
A once-in-a-lifetime Art Masterclass opportunity! Make a collaborative costume art piece inspired by globally renowned artist Daniel Lismore and have your work displayed at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Daniel Lismore’s fabulous costume art pieces are currently on display at the museum for visitors to explore and discover. Included in this 2-hour workshop there will be a short tour of Be Yourself; Everyone Else is Already Taken, an opportunity for your budding artist to be inspired by the designs and artist they are working with. During the workshop, a member of our learning team will show participants how to make a flamboyant costume art piece using an array of vibrant materials including crystals, jewellery, feathers and fabric paint. With the support of Lismore, participants will bring their ideas to life by combining design, fabric, and embellishment. Your budding artist can take home an exciting array of new skills developed from the experience of collaborating with an established artist.

Covid-19 Safety Measures
We want you to feel safe and assured that attending our Sensory Play Days sessions will enable you to have a fun and engaging experience with your children. Here is what we are doing to ensure this for you:
- Hand sanitation stations will be available upon entering and exiting from the activities.
- Hand sanitiser available throughout the session.
- A member of Learning Team will be facilitating the session, monitoring the safety of the environment, but above all else they will be smiling, happy and relaxed to keep your children happy and relaxed too.
- All resources and high touch points to be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each session.
